Today, on the Fourth Sunday after the Holy Resurrection of Jesus Christ, with ever greater humility in the Holy Spirit, first and foremost, of my wrecked mind, maladroit clumsy gauche damaged by the continuous desperate suicide attacks of apes of all kind, i would try to approach the theme dedicated to this Sunday, to Jesus Christ Himself, Teacher and Master.
First time Jesus Christ has been teaching the pharisees and the people in the Temple at Jerusalem, was at 12 years old. While with Holy Virgin Mary, during the feasts of the jewish, Jesus Christ separated involuntary from Holy Virgin Mary, and went straight to the Temple, and started to teach them. Everybody was amazed by the impossible to explain wisdom of Jesus Christ, a Child of only 12 years old, and it was not a dialogue with questions and answers, it was a fluent monologue of Jesus Christ, about the Kingdom of Heaven.
Holy Virgin Mary, with her natural concern of a Mother, thought she lost Jesus Christ in the crowd, and with panicked motherhood, started to look for Jesus Christ all over. When finally found Jesus Christ in the Temple, somehow reproached Him with words of love but exaggerated care, that without her permission, has separated from her. But Jesus Christ answered with calm and tranquilizing Holy Virgin Mary … ‘Why were you looking for Me all over? Didn’t you know I am in the House of My Father?…’
Then Jesus Christ, at the age of 30 years old, the age of full maturity, started to preach with the words … ‘Repent, since the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!’ Then even the man who had a dialogue with Jesus Christ, about what he should do to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, called Jesus Christ ‘Good Teacher’, asking Him about how he should behave as a good neighbour.
But all the time, the teachings of Jesus Christ were backed by astonishing miracles, and everybody realized the Power of His words, of God the Word and Creator, from His miracles nobody did before, nor after.
Casting out demons, healing paralytics, blind, blood affections, resurrecting the dead, multiplying bread and fish, Jesus Christ proved to be the Master and Creator of the Universe, to Whom evil spirits obey and fear, recognizing Him as the Judge Who will sent them to hell, saying …’We know Who You are, have You come before time to send us to hell?’, is the Master and Creator Who is telling the storm to calm down, and the storm goes quiet, and is bearing up with all the weaknesses and lack of faith of the human kind.
When that father brings his son, possessed by demons, to Jesus Christ, after His Disciples were unable to cast out those demons from the young man, somehow doubts the Power of Jesus Christ, telling Him … ‘Your Disciples could not do anything about, if You can help me!’ But Jesus Christ is not offended, and after asking again the father of the young man … ‘Do you believe I can do this?’, and after the father of the demons possessed-by responds … ‘I do believe, please help my lack of faith!’, Jesus Christ is casting out the demons from the young man.
There are situations when Jesus Christ is performing those miracles, after the faith of those asking Jesus Christ to perform those miracles, is beyond any reasonable doubt. Like of the woman with the blood issue for 12 years, then Santa Veronica, who believes that only touching His garments, would be enough her blood constant leak to stop. And indeed, right after touching the garment of Jesus Christ, she is immediately healed.
Then Jesus Christ turns to the crowd surrounding Him, and asking … ‘Who has touched Me?’, but His Apostles, bit numb flummoxed, are telling Jesus Christ … ‘The crowd is pushing You from all over, and You are asking who touched You?’ But Jesus Christ answers … ‘I felt a power coming out of Me!’, and then, Santa Veronica, somehow ashamed and embarassed, is admitted it was her to touch the garment of Jesus Christ. And then Jesus Christ is encouraging the woman, telling her … ‘Dare, woman, your faith has redeemed you!’
Then, in another occasion when a centurion is having an ill servant, goes straight to Jesus Christ, and is asking Him to heal his servant. And Jesus Christ responds … ‘I will come to heal your servant!’ But the centurion, with unwavering faith and humility, tells Jesus Christ : ‘I am not worthy that You will come in my house…But I have plenty of servants, and I tell this one : Do this!, and he does it, and I tell the other one : Go over there!, and he goes. Just say a word, and my servant will be healed!’ Then Jesus Christ is amazed of the faith of the centurion, and says everyone around : ‘I have never seen so much faith in the house of Israel. Go and be according to your faith!’ And from that moment on, the servant of the centurion was healed.
In another situation, Jesus Christ is putting to test the faith of a woman from Cannan, whose daughter was possessed by demons. This woman comes after Jesus Christ, asking Him : ‘Please, help me!’ But Jesus Christ answered nothing, and again the woman asks Jesus Christ to help her. When His Disciples tell Jesus Christ to help her, because was shouting and coming after them, Jesus Christ responds: ‘I was not sent, but only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel!’
In that time, the people from Canaan or Samaria were considered pagans by the jewish people, the chosen people of God, and after Jesus Christ seems to reject her again, telling her … ‘Is not proper to take the bread from the table of the children, and throw it to the dogs!’, but again the woman with unceasing and undeterred faith, answers Jesus Christ : ‘Yes, indeed, but even the dogs eat from the crumbs which fall from the table of the children!’
When Jesus Christ heard that, told the woman from Canaan … ‘Woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you, according to your faith!’, and from that moment on, her daughter was healed from the possession of the demons, and the demons were casted out.
Then there were some people, trying to tempt Jesus Christ, or to try to catch Him in puzzled or erroneous words, and asked Him : ‘Is it deemed appropriate to pay the taxes to the (roman) Caesar ?’, as back then the jewish were under the ruling of the roman empire. Then Jesus Christ tells them : ‘Bring me a coin over here!’ When they brought a coin to Jesus Christ, He asked : ‘Which efigee is stamped on the coin?’, and they answered … ‘Of the Caesar…’, and then Jesus Christ told them : ‘Give to the Caesar what belongs to the Caesar, and to God what belongs to God!’
Once, a whore was cornered by a multitude of donnybrook angered men, which caught her in adultery, and wanted to stone her to death. And Jesus Christ was nearby, sitting on the ground, scribbling bit nervous with His Fingers in the dust. The erratic seething men stopped for a short while, and were waiting for Jesus Christ to say something. Then Jesus Christ, not looking at them, told them: ‘Whoever is without sin, to throw first the stone!’ Then all the men, iffy mumbling and blight muzzled by Jesus Christ, dropped the stones, turned around and left.
Then Jesus Christ asked the woman … ‘Where are your accusers?…’, then continued … ‘Go, and sin no more!’ Then Jesus Christ, in reaching the people, went very often into their houses, even to eat with tax collectors, as He was telling very often to the pharisees : ‘The whores and the tax collectors will enter before you, into the Kingdom of Heaven!’
This is what happened when Jesus Christ entered the house of (Saint) Matthew, the former tax collector, and when entered the house of (Saint) Zaccheus, who climbed in the sycamore to see Jesus Christ, because as Jesus Christ was always teaching : ‘Not the healthy, but the sick need the doctor, because I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinners to repent!’
Next Sunday, the Fifth Sunday after the Holy Resurrection of Jesus Christ, will be dedicated to the dialogue Jesus Christ had, with Santa Photina, at the well…
